Now Year's Resolutions

I'm still stewing about what to do for my New Year's resolutions. I'm thinking something along the lines of: 1) have a baby and 2) get our condo ready to sell. Peggy advised I just make one: "Breathe in. Breathe out." =) I love my mother-in-law! I found my list of goals for 2009 a few weeks ago. Out of the 11 goals I set, I kind of did 4 of them. I think I had more like 15 or so the year before. My excuse for last year is that I was sick for about a quarter of the year.
But still, it's just overwhelming to try to come up with feasible goals for this coming year when I have no idea what to expect. My dad has me well trained on how to set my goals: be specific, and choose something from each different category (i.e. physical, spiritual, intellectual, etc.) so I'm growing in a well-rounded manner. But I feel like right now my main goal is just survival.
For example: I went to the bathroom last Monday morning (locking the door so I don't have little intruders). Upon coming out I found that Stratton had broken the glass on a picture frame on Ric's nightstand. I cleared the boys out of my room, got out the vacuum and cleaned up the glass shards, along with rabid dust bunnies that have been hiding in that corner, and came out of my bedroom to find Creighton sitting up on the kitchen counter, chocolate drool dripping off his face, pieces of candy wrapper all over the counter and floor, and him trying to get into another box of leftover Christmas chocolates. What do you do with a kid like that?!
Stratton is manageable and quite good most of the time (aside from the fact that he just brought a burnt out match to me, all proud that he was able to light it and is now in the corner for the third time today), but Creighton is just everywhere and into everything that he shouldn't be! What am I going to do when I have a nursing baby?
As a result, it's mid-January and I've yet to come up with any resolutions... any ideas?

  1. I don't know what parents did before television, but it's nice to corrupt them with all the screen time you can.

  2. i have a suggestion. you can get a little free time by signing your boys up for the army. ha. its a win win win. you get some peace and quiet. the country will be safe. and the boys love to fight. they could even bring their new buzz lightyear boxing gloves to training camp. haha.

  3. I have no idea, my hubby is like a big kid and with our own little one one the way, I am as stumped as you are. I would think that a physical goal for me would be to lose the baby baggage. But good luck and let me know if you come up with anything! Miss you!

  4. Kaylie-much as I detest that, I have been turning to that more and more! Daniel-ha. Steph-congrats!!
